A Beautiful Revamp of Le Bristol Paris

8/9/2021

Le Bristol Paris, pearl of Oetker Collection, has completed the renovation of a Palace, unveiling rooms and suites that are elegant, bright, and divinely in tune with the times. The new guestroom designs follow the renovation of all three restaurants, courtyard garden, spa and bar in a concept that combines ‘class from past and present’. Directed by Countess Bergit Douglas, the architectural firm MM-Design created spaces for the Palace that retained all the Louis XVI refinement while playing with softness in colours and simplicity of lines, the result is a lighter, beautifully balanced style.

The finest materials from the most prestigious design houses dress these fashionable apartments: Loro Piana, Pierre Frey, Taillardat, Kingcome Sofa, Vaughan, Manuel Canovas while pastel shades by Farrow & Ball in green, blue, light grey replace dark wood panelling. Le Bristol reveals its rich history at the corner of a corridor, on a wall or table centrepiece with works of art and antiques.

“Class from the past and present” is exemplified in furnishing selections; period lamps with porcelain feet are mixed with brass reading lamps, light oak bookcases with contemporary lines are set beside wing chairs or rosewood tables. Louis XVI style beds are adorned with throws in pale soothing shades of ochre, taupe, celadon green or blue-grey. In these cosy apartments, we cultivate the rarest and most precious luxury that a Palace can offer us: to feel truly at home.

Welcome to Le Bristol Paris’ redesigned rooms and suites, a showcase for the Palace’s forward thinking style, without losing sight of its soul.
