Viro, a producer of innovative and environmental-friendly materials for architecture and interior design, introduced the concept of archineering. It was an architectural concept that stressed on the material’s strength and flexibility, as well as durability. It was applied to Viro’s attractive booth at Indonesia Building Technology Expo 2018 in Indonesia Convention Centre, Tangerang. The booth was a collaboration between Viro and architect Dani Hermawan from Formologix Lab. Also displayed in the booth were Viro’s collections, which were inspired by Indonesian cultures, such as the wicker Dayaknese shield and the colours of Baduy weaving. The material used in the archineering products was called eco faux, which was made of non-natural High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) materials, or a combination of natural and non-natural materials.
