On 15 August 2024, Indonesia Design was invited for a tour around a few developments at PIK and PIK2. Amantara, a subsidiary of Agung Sedayu Group (ASG), keeps coming up with brilliant ideas in developing PIK and PIK2. One of the ongoing developments is the phase two of Batavia PIK, a modern tourist destination that combines the beauty of colonial architecture with contemporary elements. Located in between Golf Island and Riverwalk Island, it offers a captivating experience that includes history, culture, and more thematic concepts.
Batavia PIK will take us to the old Batavia Town with its colonial-style buildings, whilst hosting various events from bazaar to ‘the people’s market’. They will present copious amount of local goods and allure you with delicious food and beverage from vendors like Dewata by Monsieur Spoon, Sate & Seafood Senayan, Canton 168, Orasa’s, and Saigon Ngon.
Pinisi boats in the canals between the islands will broaden your knowledge about the history of the spice trade. What’s more, Amantara is collaborating with art and culture communities in presenting numerous kinds of enchanting performances.
Not far from Batavia PIK (phase 2), a new kind of adventure awaits. It’s a complex of active lifestyle consisted of Sea-Doo Can-Am PIK, Pier 503, Mantra Club, and more to come. With this operator, visitors can now easily reach some islands of the Kepulauan Seribu and back briefly.
Another not-to-be-missed destination is the Orange Groves District. Still in a development phase for the residential and cabins, the Orang Groves (OG) compound of retail has become a tourist destination starting January 2024, and is packed especially on weekends. The F&B tenants include Osteria Gia, Paul Café, Pesta Kebun, Fillmore Coffee and many more. A relaxation with Indonesian traditional treatments at Gaya Spa Wellness will also make your visit to OG unforgettable.
