An exciting architecture festival is going to happen from 14-17 July 2022! ARCH:ID (Indonesia Architecture Conference & Exhibition), a collaboration project between IAI (Indonesian Institute of Architects) and CIS Exhibition. This year it will be themed “Sebentang, Serentang, Segendang - Towards Diversity in Architecture”.
The festival will celebrate the diversity of local architecture. The main event will take place at ICE BSD, Tangerang Selatan, and simultaneously there will be installations in Medan and Makassar to be more inclusive to architects from western and eastern parts of Indonesia. The curators are Ary Indra (Aboday Architect, currently living in Salatiga), Hermawan Dasmanto (ARA Studio, Surabaya), and Ramadhoni Dwipayana (Simon+Dhoni Studio, residing in Medan).
The festival will be held in hybrid format of online and offline events and consist of conferences, exhibitions, talk series, workshops, networking sessions, awarding and many more. Speakers at the conferences will include practitioners from diverse cities in Indonesia, namely I Ketut Dirgantara (Bali), Gregorius Yolodi & Maria Rosantina (Jakarta), Setiadi Sopandi (Jakarta) and a few more to be announced, as well as from other countries like Japan, Thailand and China.
