Cucina Restaurant from Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Has Reopened

The last two years have put many public services into a halt. On a brighter note, it also gave an opportunity for hotels and resorts to take a break and revamp their facilities. Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort is one of them. Their signature Cucina Restaurant just reopened with a new exciting concept and a fresh look!

The new version of Cucina Restaurant was launched on 28 August 2022. It is led by Chef Patrizia Battolu, a South Italian who has years of experience working across Asia, namely in China, Thailand and now Bali.

Cucina’s interior will make you feel like you are in a village in the southwest coast of Italy. It is relaxed yet vibrant! It’s predominantly in earth colours with a touch of blue here and there, inspired by the ocean nearby. Catering to the need of the post-pandemic, Cucina also beautified the outdoor seating area. It overlooks the turquoise swimming pool, which always adds freshness to the atmosphere.

Cucina supports the environmental sustainability including the welfare of the local human resources. Some of the local materials used in the restaurant are the artisan-made tiles from Ubud, and individually crafted tableware from Kevala Ceramics mainly in green which represents mountains and forests. What’s more, the staff’s uniform is designed by an Indonesian artisan Adrie Basuki, who uses patchwork and recycled cotton rayon, tailored by housewives in Kampung Perca village in Bogor, West Java. These intitiaves allow Sofitel to contribute and be a part of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) movement.

The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisines with fresh local ingredients and authentic Italian flavour. You can choose the food and beverage from a wide range of menu, from apertini (starter) to dolci (dessert), from salad to cannoli. A cheese platter is also on the menu, as well as the chef’s recommendation Spigola Alla Marinara, Frutti Di Mare Pizza and Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola. These authentic Italian delicacies are available every day for lunch and dinner, and every Sunday from 11 am – 3 pm for brunch.
