What’s the most common request from your clients during and post pandemic?
More spacious living rooms and dining rooms for big family gatherings, or simply so a family to enjoy their time together at home. Some of our clients even made their second home a party house, where they can invite a chef to cook for the family gathering.

What can we expect from future interior design trends?
Now the floorplan design tends to be more open and a lot of big windows, or sliding doors, for better air circulation. More designs adopt the outside-in and inside-out style, to unify the house with nature and gardens.

Please share how you anticipate these trends.
I tend to use natural and light colours to create a more fresh, organic feel. I use
a lot of green accents or indoor green plants. As for the materials, I use more natural stone, not polished but more subdued or rustic, and hemp, jute, or natural textured wallpaper. The finishing of the interiors tends to play with textures instead of colours, while for the fabrics I use various kinds with deep texture like bouclé.

For the furniture, I often go for the organic shapes because it gives a sense of natural flow. My latest furniture design, Fleuve in collaboration with Saniharto, embraced the fluidity of a river, which can be easily combined with the natural styled interior design that is in trend nowadays.
