The world of professional architecture was exclusively an all boys club until the 17th century when a British socialite named Lady Elizabeth Wilbraham quietly designed about 400 buildings. Today, there are more female architects that are breaking the glass ceiling and establishing successful careers designing landmark buildings and urban settings.
This #InternationalWomensDay, we are featuring the works from ten female architects in Indonesia that are making their marks in the industry. From designing sustainable homes to built environment, these women are not only making a name for themselves, but are also inspiring more young women to break the stigma and go for the stars.
