FORME, founded in 2008, is a subsidiary company of Eastwind Mandiri. Celebrating 30 years of craftmanship, it has been Indonesia’s leading interior company engaged in manufacturing, home furnishing, distribution, and export. Forme provides a comprehensive lifestyle furniture collection that furnishes the most exquisite rooms and spaces.
On 7 August 2024, Indonesia Design co-hosted Forme’s product launch, the Congo Table, at its showroom on Jalan Wijaya, South Jakarta. The collection comprises a cocktail table and an end table. Congo Table has actually been produced and exported since 1999. It was initially made of teak wood veneer, and over time has been modified with other materials until the latest one is made of hammered aluminium.
The collection was placed in the centre of the showroom, perfectly blending in with the rest of the furniture. The showroom was specially rearranged and decorated for the event by interior designer Ronald Suhartono.
The event began with a welcome remark from Indonesia Design’s editor-in-chief, Lina Gan, continued with a speech from Forme’s director, Yani Susilowati. The guests, consisting of diplomats, architects, interior designers and business owners, were then guided around the extensive showroom.
The event included a silent auction for a Forme chair hand-painted by Indonesian artist Ramadhan Bouqie, who also exhibited some of his paintings in the showroom. The fun and friendly night was accompanied by good food and wine, and ended with a door prize session.
