20th Anniversary of MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards

Architects from all over the world have been invited to enter the MIPIM/Architectural Review Future Project Awards 2021 celebrate excellence in inbuilt projects, spanning across 12 categories and 4 prizes.

Returning for its 20th year anniversary, the prestigious awards offer a great opportunity to showcase outstanding examples of innovative architecture that has responded successfully to the development brief and to demonstrate the full impact they will make on the communities around them.

The categories include Commercial Mixed-used, Community and Civic, Cultural Regeneration, Hotels and Leisure, New and Old, Offices/office-led Development, Regeneration and Masterplanning, Residential, Shopping and Retail-led Development, Sport and Stadiums, Tall Building (more than 30 storeys), Urban Infrastructure, Jeu d’Esprit Prize and Sustainability Prize.

To celebrate its 20th year of the awards, the judges will be awarding a First Among Equals Prize, for the best overall winner from the past 20 years. A special Pandemic Prize will also be awarded for a design which takes into account the implications for building users of Covid-19 and possible future pandemics. All winners will be interviewed for online coverage during MIPIM.

All entries will be published in the official AR MIPIM Future Projects catalogue, while all winners will receive one free pass to MIPIM 2021 worth £1920. An experienced judging panel, chaired by AR editorial director, Paul Finch, will assess the entries. Winners will be invited to an intimate winners lunch during MIPIM at the Hotel Gray d’Albion in Cannes on 17 March 2021.
