iD Award Nominee - Best New Hotel Design: Fairmont Jakarta

5/9/2018

In celebration of our 14th anniversary, we are extending our appreciation to those who have made significant contributions to the improvement of design in Indonesia by presenting Indonesia Design Best Design Awards. This is Fairmont Jakarta, a nominee in the Best Luxury Hotel category.

The 32-storey Fairmont Jakarta in Senayan adapts a typically minimalist Japanese architecture style that enhances the space within.

The simplistic building disguises the opulent interior designed by Kajima Corporation from Tokyo. Also contrary to the dark façade, the hotel's lobby glistens with ivory-toned marble tiles, which are complemented by dark brown sills of the high windows. Earthy-coloured furniture, bluish upholsteries and glass artworks are accents to the interior, packaged in a grand and sophisticated ambiance. Fairmont’s lobby is said to be one of the largest in Jakarta.

The bedrooms are - as expected - of Fairmont's luxury standard. The contemporary Presidential Suite in particular charms with sultry purple accents with warm tones. Guests can sleep and wake up to the city's skyline and enjoy premium food, beverages and services at the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
