Kidul Village, Now Restored by USG Boral

A Gresik VIllage restoration project that relied on innovative building products engineered by USG Boral has been completed.

After four weeks of finishing the restoration project in Kidul Village, Gresik, USG Boral handed over the new settlement to five local families. The project was aimed to create comfortable living spaces for the community, supported by USG Boral’s latest innovation from exterior’s lightweight coverage Durock system and Heatstop gypsum board.

During the construction process, USG Boral allowed the workers to experience the lightweight Durock System, an innovation that saves times and eases the application process. Durock System is the lightest cement product. Its resistance to moisture and mold makes it the perfect choice for exterior coverage. Supporting Durock System’s performance, Heatstop gypsum board that features heat-reflector metalized film, was also applied for the interior to create a homey space for the residents.

Marketing director of USG Boral Indonesia Suzana Budiman mentioned that theinitiative was a reflection of USG Boral Indonesia’s values in supporting the welfare of the society. Suzana, along with the senior manager of field operation of habitat for humanity Indonesia Herbet Barimbing, and representatives of the local government attended the hand over ceremony of the restoration project.
