Located right in the heart of the capital, Grand Hyatt Jakarta has been providing the finest luxury accommodation to local and international travellers from around the world for several decades. In addition to a sophisticated design and top-notch service, the hotel also has several food & beverage venues that serve different types of cuisines, one of which is C’s Steak and Seafood.

Set in an elegant and romantic ambience, this fine restaurant is considered to be one of the best in town, presenting the freshest selection of seafood and beef that will surely satisfy food lovers. Its array of exciting food options keeps guests on their feet, especially with its latest offering, the incredible adventure
of Le Petit Chef.

Virtually the smallest chef in the world measuring 58 mm, Le Petit Chef serves a truly immersive dining adventure that follows the footsteps of Marco Polo across the Silk Road. After being developed in 2015 the tiny chef has gained worldwide popularity and has gone viral on social media. Due to popular demand, this dining sensation has extended its stay at C’s Steak and Seafood until 27 December this year.

This incredible experience combines the best of theatre and dining, serving food along with a theatrical presentation and storytelling using innovative cutting-edge 3D visual technology that is projected right on top of guests’ plates. Entertainment is no question as the full immersion is complete with themed music and dialogue from the famed chef himself.

Crafted by the hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Mauro Santarelli, the story begins in France, the tiny chef’s hometown, with a bouillabaisse parfait, brioche and saffron rouille while embarking on the journey to the first destination, Arabia, where a barley tabbouleh, lamb pastilla, potato harra and tuna baharat is served. The tiny chef explains the adventure with a fun and continuous dialogue. The next stop is India complete with butter chicken, jeera rice and paratha. The food presentation is choreographed beautifully in sync with the video.

A refreshing lemon sorbet and masala chai is served during the trip’s layover at the Himalayas, which then continues on to China, where steamed gindara, chicken siu mai and rice ball with Hong Kong sauce is provided. All dishes perfectly represent the local cuisine in each destination, giving guests a truly authentic culinary holiday. The expedition concludes with saffron-spiced rice pudding, crème brûlée and apricot compote for dessert.

Embark on this one-of-a-kind and ingenious adventure at C’s Steak and Seafood, with two types of exclusive six-course set menus to choose from, namely Marco Polo’s Expedition and Marco Polo’s Journey, both available with kiddie and vegetarian menus, perfect for a special lunch or dinner with friends
and family.
