In his book “A History of Western Architecture,” David Watkin clearly elaborates that true classical architecture is inescapable from the principles of Greek and Roman architecture. A more detailed look into this matter reveals that this particular genre was largely influenced by the works of Marcus Vitruvius Pollio that were chronicled in “De Architectura.” Although subsequently classical architecture has developed in various other manners, the original design that comes from the detailed pattern of Vitruvius remains unchallenged in terms of its elegance. One example of this design in today’s modern world can be seen in this classical-style abode, which stands imposingly in the heart of Medan.
