Perched on a hillside that is blessed with a breathtaking view towards the verdant green valleys and the winding Ayung River, the spa is located inside the Kupu Kupu Barong Villas compound. The name is inspired by a massage and treatment ritual that is traditionally done on top of a mango tree. The exotic design of the spa characterizes the establishment, and is beautifully executed through a traditional bamboo house architecture that sits on the edge of the valley, completely encircled by the lush vegetation in the surrounding.

Mango Tree Spa’s main building is placed at the front of the site, adjacent to the entrance door. It is located on the same floor as the villa lobby while the spa treatment area is placed in a separate location. The main building stands alone on an area surrounded by luxuriant trees and is fashioned after the traditional Balinese architecture which beautifully combines dried alang-alang rood and tiled roof. The surrounding area is also beautifully landscaped using tree and flower arrangements, as well as paths and rock formations with two contrasting colors: black and white. In the same area there is also a boutique called L’Occitane en Provence.
