Griya Siangan Meranggi Saren
As part of the vernacular architecture of our archipelago, the tradition to build a living quarter in Bali has been influenced by the local culture that is a collision of Hindu and Javanese architectures. Yet, in line with the modern advancement and influx of foreign influences in the island, many dwellings have left behind the traditional Balinese ways of life. A serene house known as Griya Siangan Meranggi Saren Bendul in Abiansemal, west Ubud has the spatial organization, philosophy, and values of a traditional Balinese house (kuren).
