One of the most curious things about Indonesia is whilst being home to the world’s largest Muslim population, it has one of the largest Hindu temples (candi), Prambanan, and the largest Buddhist temple, Borobudur, deeply embedded within. Both temples have been named UNESCO World Heritage sites, and both welcome a sea of tourists every year. Since their magnificence has been expressed repeatedly, this edition we’re giving a chance for some other impressive candis of Yogyakarta and the nearby Magelang to share the spotlight.
