Held from 8 to 12 July 2026, IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 Part 1 welcomed Indonesia Design as one of its official media partners. Throughout the event, the publication shared news and highlights across its social media channels, digital architecture and design portal, and print magazine.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing innovation, sustainability, and international competitiveness within Indonesia’s architecture, interior design, and construction industries.
Beyond its role as a media partner, Indonesia Design also used the exhibition as an opportunity to champion design literacy through a dedicated booth showcasing its publications. Taking centre stage was the magazine’s latest, 108th issue, themed “The Art of Crafted Hospitality.” It was displayed alongside a carefully curated selection of back issues—many now considered collectors’ items—which together trace two decades of architecture, interiors, design, lifestyle, and craftsmanship in Indonesia and beyond.
Occupying 15 square metres, the booth was constructed by Litehouse ID based on a design by Realino Design & Contract. Furnishings were brought directly from the Indonesia Design office, transforming the space into an authentic extension of the publication’s identity while bringing its work closer to architects, designers, construction professionals, and design enthusiasts attending the expo.
Among the pieces on display was the Jengki Relax Chair, part of the publication’s earlier collection and designed by renowned Indonesian designer Singgih S. Kartono for Santai Furniture. Potted greenery from ArtGrass softened the setting further, lending warmth and a natural touch to the compact space.
One of the booth’s most distinctive architectural features was a series of CNC wall panels by WLine, which frequently caught the attention of visitors. Positioned as a textured backdrop to the seating area, the panels introduced depth and visual character while helping create an inviting corner where guests could sit, browse through issues of Indonesia Design, or explore the architecture and design books available at the booth.
An old bookshelf added another layer of character, displaying a curated selection of Indonesia Design issues alongside hardcover architecture and design books. Both informative and visually appealing, the collection struck a balance between substantial reading material and the tactile charm of a well-composed coffee-table library.
The booth also served as a point of direct engagement with the design community. Throughout the exhibition, members of the Indonesia Design team were available to introduce the Indonesia Design Awards and share further information with architects and designers interested in participating.
Through its presence at IndoBuildTech Expo 2026, Indonesia Design offered more than conventional media coverage. It created a tangible, carefully curated experience that reflected the publication’s long-standing appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and meaningful storytelling.
In doing so, the booth echoed the broader spirit of IndoBuildTech itself—bringing together innovation, craftsmanship, and industry dialogue while supporting the exhibition’s mission to strengthen collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Indonesia’s built environment community.
