The 22nd International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition (ARCHIDEX) 2023 returned larger than ever. Running from 26-29 July 2023 in KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, the event occupied 10 halls and featured 1,400 exhibition stands from 600 exhibitors representing 15 countries and regions, and attracted 38,203 visitors.
Both local and international exhibitors showcased the latest advancements in building materials, construction technologies, interior fittings, and sustainable solutions. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest trends, exchange knowledge, and forge collaborations with the best in the field.
The event united professionals from the architecture and built industry under a strong FUTURE theme, encompassing three key pillars of Sustainability, Future Architecture, and Wellbeing. A lot of the products and technologies displayed put forward the eco-friendly side of them.
The event coincided with the celebration of Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM)’s 100th anniversary. PAM continues to provide a stage for the industry to drive the growth of the architectural industry, empowering professionals to push boundaries, explore new possibilities, and shape the future of architecture. Other highlights of the event included DATUM Conferences, ARCHIDEX Star Awards, and ARCHITALENT.
ARCHIDEX 2023 was officiated by the Minister of Local Government Development YB Tuan Nga Kor Ming, President of C.I.S Dato’ Vincent Lim, President of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) Abu Zarim Abu Bakar, and Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF) 2023 Director Norzaini bin Mufti. Before the opening ceremony, the minister had a chance to tour around the exhibition.
