The first Art Moments event happened in 2018. Until the fifth edition it always took place in Jakarta. The next one, Art Moments Bali (AMB), will run from 23-25 June 2023 at InterContinental Bali Resort, Jimbaran, Bali.
Sendy Widjaja as the co-founder and art director of Art Moments announced that the exhibition’s concept will be ‘room artfair’. This concept has been adapted in other art exhibitions abroad. It’s where several guest rooms are used to exhibit the artworks. A total of 14 guest rooms and 2 function rooms will be used to display almost 400 artworks from more than 100 artists.
“Art Moments Bali aims to make Bali as an international art destination,” Sendy said. That’s why most of the artworks that will be displayed are travel-sized. “And, it will be free of charge!” Sendy added.
A special collaboration with Museum Pasifika Bali will allow AMB to display some works that haven’t been displayed at the museum. And like the previous editions, AMB will continue to be supported by BCA bank, which allows art lovers to purchase artworks in installments using BCA credit cards.
Curator Rizki Jaelani stated that there are going to be workshops conducted by artists who are used to work with local materials and tools.
