Recently, Indonesia celebrated our legendary hero’s 137th birthday. Raden Adjeng Kartini continues to inspire today’s generation, imparting her heroic mentality to dream, fight, serve for the country, and she was proactive despite the commotions around her. Of the various marks Kartini left behind, unpretentious Indonesian luxury fashion brand Chameo Couture adapted some of the crucial attributes—one of which is to maintain their identity as an Indonesian brand. The couture accessory line is committed to preserve Indonesia’s rich inheritance in culture in this modern era. In celebrating the profound legacy of our national hero, Chameo Couture and three of influential women figures of today; Indonesian Actress Maudy Koesnaedi, Fair Director at Harper Bazaar Art Vivi Yipp, and Chameo Couture’s founder Yuliana Lim explore their thoughts on Kartini’s impacts on Modern Indonesian Women.
