With 25 years of experience under its wings, Oman Air continues to provide the best services to its passengers. Recently, the airline introduced its new First Class private suite and also made a host of enhancements across all cabins, especially in the Business Class of Boeing 787.
From your first step into the cabin, you can expect to have an Omani experience. “We try to incorporate our culture into our Business Class,” says Yasser Mahdi, Oman Air’s district sales manager. The introduction to the unique culture is incorporated even in the simple things but you can really feel it. You will be welcomed with their local coffee and dates before the cabin crew serves you with either champagne or fresh juice.
The next standard service is for the cabin crew to take orders on what menu the passengers choose during the flight, especially on a long haul, so as not to bother them later should they be sleeping. They offer fine culinary creations, inspired by diverse cultures including the flavours from the sultanate. The bespoke dinnerware, crystal glasses and fine table linens will make sure that you dine in style.
The cabin’s interior is designed thoughtfully and tastefully by Oman Air’s brand and product development teams. One of the most commented features by passengers is the seat. It’s comfortable and spacious at 58 by 203 cm wide. It is also a lie-flat seat with electrically controlled backrest, leg rest and seat depth. The divider between seats assures every passenger can have their quality rest and uninterrupted entertainment. The seat formation is 2-2-2 but each seat has its own entrance. Quilted duvets, cotton pajamas and slippers are provided to enhance the comfort.
Each seat is equipped with a cutting-edge HD in-flight entertainment system, complete with noise-cancelling headphones. Passengers can choose to listen to international artists or watch popular shows as well as the latest blockbuster movie, all at the touch of a screen. Bringing your own entertainment can be an option because each seat has two USB ports and a power socket. These features are also useful for a business trip. And if you are flying from Muscat, the capital of Oman, you can expect to enjoy the lavish facilities of the newly open lounge.
A set of unisex Amouage kits is provided in the design with brown shades of Oman’s Old Town. It helps you freshen up and it includes Amouage’s well-known luxury perfume.
In brief, an Oman Air experience is one of a kind. “Travelling with Oman Air truly offers a real flavour of Omani warmth and hospitality, appreciated by all guests,” Yasser sums it up perfectly.
