This year’s awaited architecture forum and trade event brings the richness of Indonesia’s culture, heritage, and natural resources to the centre stage.

ARCH:ID 2025 has been set to attract a diverse mix of visitors beyond the players in the building and construction industry. This exhibition is anticipated by architects, designers, construction companies, students, and the general public alike as it also presents the aesthetic and educational sides of architecture and design.

More importantly, through this year’s theme Performative Archipelagos, ARCH:ID is bringing the richness of Indonesia’s culture, heritage, and natural resources to the centre stage.

The theme and mission that ARCH:ID carries this year are evident in several featured exhibitions as follows:

A Tribute to Professor Danisworo

This exhibition, titled A Tribute: Meneruskan Inspirasi dan Pemikiran (Continuing the Inspiration and Thoughts) Prof. (Em. ITB) Ir. Mohammad Danisworo, M.Arch, MUP, Ph.D, presents archives, documentation, and works that reflect the visionary mind of the professor. Danisworo is the mastermind behind the excellent planning of Jakarta’s superblock SCBD, among others.

Re:Post Jakarta

Presented by Heritage & Sketch, this exhibition features 50 sketches that reinterpret the current time based on the iconic old postcard collection from Scott Merillees’ Greetings from JAKARTA: Postcards of a Capital 1900 – 1950.

It also presents Re:Preserve Rumah Raden Saleh, which highlights the conservation process of Rumah Raden Saleh, the house of Raden Saleh the maestro.

Millimeter Manifesto

In alignment with ARCH:ID 2025’s mission to provoke collaborations and promote sustainability, Millimeter Manifesto presents the works of eight product designers in a repurposed exhibition structure. The designers showcased their works alongside the source of inspiration and a glimpse of the working process.

Saling X Silang

This initiative aims to provoke interdisciplinary collaboration through engaging talks and other activities. A discussion about lighting took place at Saling Silang’s main installation, Pusaran, which was created together by a group of architects and designers representing different architecture and design firms

The discussion featured video mapping from Sembilan Matahari with support from Epson, Arctik, and Helvar.

Student Exhibition

ARCH:ID 2025 reflects its commitment to promote education by accommodating the aspirations of students. University of Indonesia’s Department of Architecture presents the students’ works including “Vertical Safehouse” which represents a journey in creating individual visions of the namesake exhibition. This exhibition is inspired by the students’ concerns about various issues from threats to freedom of speech to malnutrition.
