Held at TACO Experience Centre at Indonesia Design District (IDD), PIK 2, on Wednesday, 15 May, IndoBuildTech (IBT) Business Impact marked one of the lead-up programs toward IndoBuildTech (IBT) Expo Part 1 2026, which will take place on 8 – 12 July 2026 at ICE BSD City.

More than simply introducing the upcoming exhibition, IBT Business Impact presented discussions surrounding innovations, industry trends, and collaborative opportunities shaping the future of Indonesia’s architecture, interior, construction, and building materials sectors. Through presentations and exchange of ideas, the event reflected the growing momentum of the industry while highlighting the importance of connectivity between various elements within the design and construction ecosystem.

Opening the event, Sakanti Sasri, Vice President of Exhibition Development of PT Debindo International Trade & Exhibition, emphasized the positive trajectory currently seen within Indonesia’s construction and interior industries. According to Sakanti, the increasing enthusiasm from both exhibitors and visitors reflects how architecture and design have become increasingly relevant not only as economic sectors, but also as part of the country’s evolving lifestyle and creative ecosystem.

“IndoBuildTech is not only held as merely an exhibition, but also as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and inspiration for all industry players,” Sakanti stated. She further explained that IBT Expo continues to encourage meaningful exchanges between brands, professionals, consumers, while opening broader opportunities for partnerships and business development within the industry.

Representing TACO at the event, Andika Chandra, Head of Community Development at TACO, expressed the brand’s enthusiasm in supporting the series of programs leading toward IBT Expo Part 1 2026. As one of the prominent local material brands participating in the exhibition, TACO views IndoBuildTech as an important platform to introduce innovations while engaging directly with architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners.

During the session, Andika introduced several of TACO’s latest material innovations that will be showcased at IBT Expo 2026, including TACO SPC Flooring, Ultracore 500 Herringbone, Nexacore 600, and ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) Alustro. Developed to answer the demands of contemporary living, these products highlight TACO’s focus on functionality, durability, and design versatility for both interior and exterior applications.

“Through the various product innovations, we aspire to present material solutions that are more complete, functional, and relevant for the homeowners and professionals in the architecture and design industry,” Andika explained. He also noted that the development of new materials today increasingly requires brands to understand changing lifestyles, spatial flexibility, and sustainability considerations that continue to shape modern architecture and interiors.

The event also welcomes students from the Interior Design department of Universitas Bina Nusantara, who actively participated in discussions regarding the broader impact of exhibitions such as IBT Expo on Indonesia’s architecture and design landscape. Their questions prompted deeper conversations surrounding the exhibition’s growing number of visitors each year, reflecting increasing public awareness and appreciation toward architecture, design innovation, and material excellence.

Concluding the event in a collaborative atmosphere aligned with the spirit of IndoBuildTech itself, TACO invited participants to join an interactive workshop creating luggage tags using TACO HPL materials. Combining creativity, interaction, and friendly competition, the workshop echoed the immersive and community-driven experiences that have become an integral part of IndoBuildTech exhibitions over the years.

Through programs such as Business Impact, IndoBuildTech continues to reinforce its commitment toward building a more integrated industry ecosystem that connects material manufacturers, designers, architects, and construction professionals. As IBT Expo Part 1 2026 approached, the exhibition aims to further strengthen its role as a barometer of industry advancement while encouraging a more innovative, collaborative, and competitive future for Indonesia’s construction, architecture, and interior design sectors.
