The Highly Anticipated Architecture Festival in Indonesia
Continuing the success of the 2020 Architectural Conference and Exhibition, the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) together with PT Citra Inovasi Strategi (CIS) Exhibition are holding the ARCH:ID Event in 2022. This conference and exhibition will be held on 2 – 5 June 2022 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang. Continuing the concept in the previous ARCH:ID event, the 2022 ARCH:ID Event will also host three well-known architects as curators, from three different cities in Indonesia. They are Ary Indra from Jakarta-Salatiga, Ramadhoni Dwipayana from Medan, and Hermawan Dasmanto from Surabaya.
The ARCH:ID event this year carries the theme Sebentang, Seentang, Segendang which is a reflection of the diversity of architectural practices and products in Indonesia. Ary indra as one of the curators explained “This event will involve all architects and industries from all over Indonesia, not only those who already have names. We must celebrate this wealth not by seeking uniformity but seeking harmony and by remaining proud of our differences.”
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The conference will be a forum for continuous dialogue between Architects & architectural industry players in Indonesia. This dialogue needs to be built within a medium & long term framework. This activity is expected to form a good synergy so as to create an ecosystem that will advance the architectural industry in Indonesia. The ARCH:ID 2022 conference will be held for two days by presenting quality speakers from within and outside the country.

FEATURED EXHIBITION
One of the signature programs from ARCH:ID is a thematic exhibition of selected young architects. The Featured Exhibition will display works of architectural installation art with content such as a showcase of Indonesian architects and architecture, a showcase from a curator, a memorial wall for one of the initiators of ARCH:ID (the late Ahmad Djuhara) and so on.
5 ISLAND PAVILION
In addition to conferences and exhibitions, ARCH:ID will also present activities in the form of five installations which they call the 5 Island Pavilion. This activity will be held in five cities spread across five islands as representatives, namely Medan, Makassar, Balikpapan, Bali and Sorong. Involving local architects who are certainly very talented. The construction of the 5 Island Pavilion is part of ARCH:ID's commitment in embracing architects from all over Indonesia.
WEBINAR SERIES
In addition to international conferences, ARCH:ID will also present online seminar activities which will be held as a pre-event towards the main activity in June 2022. This online seminar will involve the provincial IAI as host. With interesting topics and in accordance with current issues, it is hoped that this activity can become a discussion forum among architects throughout Indonesia. ARCH:ID 2022 targets visitors from professional circles such as architects, contractors, property developers, interior designers, government institutions, distributors, agents, importers, exporters, academics and those related to the architectural world who will meet to build business relationships, networking, knowledge-sharing and being a part of a collective effort towards growing the architecture industry in Indonesia. In addition, this activity is expected to form a collaboration with other fields that can intersect with architecture.
