Embracing the post-pandemic world, Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design (ICAD) 12 returns with “Fragmenting Yesterday, Reshaping Tomorrow”. The event will feature at least 50 Indonesian and international multidisciplinary creatives.
A lot has changed since the pandemic. Now that the world is recovering from this critical juncture, the 12thedition of ICAD sees the need to reflect on how the world has turned into and for us to determine which way we should direct our lives in the future. What insights and habits we have learned and adopted these last two years, and which ones we should abandon, preserve and redesign.
ICAD prioritises creativity as a solution for improving the economy and tourism. With the new theme, hopefully ICAD 12 can provide a space to explore and exchange ideas between designers and with the public.
Some of the artists, designers and creative collectives that have confirmed to participate in ICAD 12 are Nyoman Nuarta, Heri Dono, Mella Jaarsma, Nasirun, Titarubi, Natasha Tontey, Muhammad Fadli, Iyonono, Trianzani Sulshi, Digital Nativ, Eddie Hara x Rebellionik and Tommy Herseta. Other than exhibition, there will also be programmes like Design Talks, Workshops, ICAD Awards and Film Screening.
The event will once again take place in Grand Kemang Jakarta. Mark your calendar for 19 October – 27 November 2022 because it will be too good to miss.
