Inside Indonesia Design's Living Room of Ideas at ARCH:ID 2026

9/12/2026

As a proud media partner of ARCH:ID 2026, Indonesia Design welcomed visitors to a warm, living room-inspired booth in Hall 5. Designed as an inviting space for reading, conversation, and discovery, the booth celebrated more than two decades of documenting architecture, interior design, lifestyle, and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the booth was Indonesia Design’s extensive magazine collection, featuring the latest editions alongside carefully curated back issues from the past twenty years. Together, the collection offered visitors a glimpse into the evolution of Indonesia’s architecture and design scene, whilst reconnecting them with influential projects, creative voices, and global design conversations.

Conceived by Realino Design&Contract and brought to life by Litehouse ID, the booth embodied sophistication. Warm white lighting illuminated a restrained palette of white and beige, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere. Ceiling rose cloth with hidden LED lighting was suspended above the space, whilst sculptural decorative wall panels added texture, rhythm, and depth.

Beyond constructing the booth, Litehouse ID also produced the illuminated Indonesia Design acrylic letter signage. The detail reflected the studio’s expertise not only in interior fit-outs and contracting, but also in advertising, signage, and branded spatial elements.

According to Litehouse ID founder Yudhie Noto Saputra, the studio’s role was to faithfully translate the original design vision into a refined built experience through meticulous craftsmanship and close attention to detail. Known for delivering luxury residential and lifestyle projects, Litehouse ID approached the booth with the same commitment to quality that defines its wider portfolio.

One of the booth’s key visual features was the decorative CNC wall panels by WLine, the design and manufacturing brand founded by Stepanus Wijaya. Renowned for its custom architectural façades, 3D relief panels, and decorative screens, WLine demonstrated how crafted surfaces can transform a simple backdrop into a distinctive architectural statement.

The living room atmosphere was further enriched by a curated selection of furniture from Rifyo, including the Ligne Roset Taru Armchair, the &Tradition Lato Side Table Oval LN9, and the Herman Miller Eames Turned Stool. Indonesia Design’s archive was displayed within a USM Sideboard 3 in pure white and an &Tradition Alima trolley, reinforcing the booth’s identity as both a gallery and a reading room.

Adding a contemporary layer to the experience, Samsung’s The Frame screened highlights from Opulent Living, the landmark exhibition introduced by Indonesia Design in late 2025. The display extended the booth’s narrative beyond print, presenting a broader celebration of design culture across different media.

In line with ARCH 2026’s theme, Synthesis Scheme – Architecture of Engagement, the booth became more than a showcase. It represented a collaborative ecosystem where designers, manufacturers, builders, craftsmen, and media came together. Through this shared effort, Indonesia Design’s booth demonstrated how meaningful design is shaped through dialogue, expertise, and collective vision.
