Jakarta Interior Design Festival (JIDF) 2022 is initiated by Jakarta Indonesian Society of Interior Designer (HDII DKI Jakarta) to show the potentials of the design world in contributing to the sustainability of our culture and nature. The festival is running from 13 November until 22 December 2022, involving professional designers and design students from various universities.
JIDF 2022 consists of exhibitions, seminars, competitions, workshops, a business matching event and cultural tours, amongst others. The exhibitions take place in several locations such as M Bloc and Taman Ismail Marzuki. It also exhibits some installation designs at Indobuildtech and Homedec events, which runs from 16-20 November and 15-18 December 2022 respectively.
“Dicsover Local” was the sub-theme of the opening event, which happened on 13-14 November 2022 in MBloc Space. It featured the works of local interior designers in an exhibition, a designer’s showcase, workshops and discussions.
HDII Jakarta also collaborates with Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of Jakarta and hopes their support will help interior designers to actively contribute in the development of Jakarta city. Rina Renville, the president of HDII Jakarta, believes that an annual event like this is needed to be the catalyst of standard design quality of Jakarta’s interior design. It should also help new great talents to arise that will make Jakarta as a city with Indonesia’s best quality of designers.
