Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII) Jakarta proudly presents the second Jakarta Interior Design Festival (JIDF). It was launched on 9 August 2023 in Pacific Place, Jakarta, and will run until 9 September 2023 in several venues in the city.
JIDF 2023 is an initiative that derived from a standpoint that the interior design industry can create real impacts on the sustainability of culture and creative economy. HDII hopes that this event will inspire interior designers to design facilities, adapt and innovate continuously.
This year, the annual event is supported by the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of DKI Jakarta. It is also supported by ten universities in Jakarta with Interior Design major: Esa Unggul University, Bina Nusantara, Jakarta Institute of Arts, Tarumanegara University, Mercu Buana University, La Salle College of Design, Trisakti University, InterStudi Design College, Gunadharma University and University of Indonesia.
JIDF 2023 consisted of a series of events, including exhibitions with the theme “Wondrous Works”, which feature completed projects by members of HDII, 20 best design concepts by Interior Design students and winners of design competitions held by HDII, as well as Design Talks, Creative Talks, Showroom Visit, Designer Showcase, and many more. Professional designers that will share their knowledge and experiences in the talk events include Benyamin Aris Nugroho of GMDI, Rubi Roesli of Biroe Architecture, William K Patty of Hadiprana, Irwan Apriali Rangkuti of Airmas and Dr. Dante Rigmalia, M.Pd. as the head of National Commission for Dissabilites.
Ranu Scarvia, the chairwoman of HDII DKI Jakarta, is sure that JIDF can be a catalyst of the quality improvement of interior design in Jakarta, supports the making of new talents, and helps Jakarta to have the best interior designers in Indonesia.
