As a pioneer in producing innovative home and water technology equipment, LIXIL is consistently innovating and providing the latest solutions to create a better home for the Indonesian people. This global company from Japan shows their support to the sustainable architecture and design by holding an annual event called Day of Architecture (LDAD). This year’s theme was “Architecture to Recover - developing a sustainable approach towards urban resilience” and the event took place in Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, on 27 July 2022.

Santa Firmansjah, president director of LIXIL Water Technology Indonesia, stated that one of LIXIL’s commitments to the living environment of Indonesia is to encourage all students and professionals in the fields of architecture and design to always think ahead in responding towards global issues. He hoped the activity could be a platform for speakers and participants to exchange knowledge and motivate young architects and designers to take part in sustainable architecture. For example, by recreating buildings that are durable to natural disasters, rehabilitation centres, health centres for cancer patients, and post-pandemic recovery centres amongst others.

The event also comprises of other activities such as LIXIL Architecture and Design Competition (LADC), Talk Training and Workshops, and International Property Awards Asia Pacific as an appreciation for the best achievement in the industry.
