In partnership with Studio Aliri, Millimetre Manifesto (MM) presents "Serumpun," a pavilion that reflects the spirit of Indonesian product design, at Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2025, which will take place at the Indonesia Design District (IDD). Meaning "from the same root," Serumpun refers to the concept of a common base and varied development where a number of designers come together with unique voices under shared ideals.

"Serumpun" permeates the pavilion's architectural style. The building is made up of overlapping geometries, layered surfaces, modular frameworks, and a variety of materials. In order to answer the issue, "How can we design together, grow together, and remain connected without becoming the same?" each component has its own personality while interacting with the others. With their ability to convey unity in diversity and foster uniqueness, these architectural components create a harmonious ecology.

In this pavilion, Millimetre Manifesto explores design as a cultural, intellectual, and social practice over aesthetics. The pavilion showcases current Indonesian design's process, philosophy, and thinking through MM members' works. Drawing on years of product design expertise, MM's design manifestos analyse design's cultural significance, changing methodology, responsibilities, and promise beyond commerce.

Building on the groundwork laid by ARCH:ID and JIA, this pavilion carries on the spirit of IFEX 2025. Artfully crafted, with a story that grows and evolves with each revision. In a three-story architectural statement for IDW 2025, Studio Aliri realises this idea with the help of Studio Woork's visionary design:

● Ground floor: A communal hub for workshops, inviting visitors to engage with materials, processes, and making.

● Upper Levels: Exhibitions showcasing how MM’s manifestos are embodied in each designer’s work.

Built on a modular LVL timber system, wooden flooring, and panels constructed by TEKA Parquet, the pavilion reflects MM and Studio Aliri’s commitment to adaptability and reusability by minimizing material waste while enabling transformation across venues.

This iteration also features other contributions from local partners, including hardware by Blum, HPL by TACO, special finishing by Belkote Paints, integrated lighting by Ascendo powered by GLOW Control, blinds textiles by Sandei as dividers, and roof coverings by Paperina. This pavilion is made possible through the continued support of CVP.
