Formerly known as Alysia, Moonlight II is a superyacht that was built by Greek shipyard Neorion Shipyards Syros in 2005. She features a contemporary naval architecture from façade to interior that is the works of Alpha Marine and Lally Poulias. The total production cost was USD 125 million at the behest of the late Andreas Liveras, the Greek yachting magnate who died in the 2008 terrorist attack in Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai.

With a majestic profile and a sleek hull, the 85.3-metre Moonlight II is one of the world’s largest charter vessels. It offers relaxation and luxury with five splendid decks, which house deluxe accommodation alongside a health and beauty centre complete with a gym, a beauty salon for facial and body treatments, a massage room, steam rooms, saunas and a marble Jacuzzi.

Moonlight II accommodates up to 36 guests in 17 sumptuous staterooms and suites. Its jewel in the crown is the master suite that sits on the upper deck. The room is a sprawling 122 sqm with 180 degree panoramic windows and a door leading to a private deck. Lie down on the plush king bed and enjoy the nearby retractable huge plasma television with a Creston control console. The rest of the suite includes a private study, additional twin stateroom, his and hers dressing rooms and an en-suite bathroom.

Each room is fitted with the highest standards of everything: limed oak paneling, limestone architraves, silk-embroidered counterpanes, sofas, a writing desk, LCD television with DVD and large marble bathrooms. The 21-metre sea level sundeck offers fantastic views in exhaustive privacy. At one end of the deck is a helipad that can be transformed into an oblique sunbathing terrace.

Cruising the Mediterranean sea on the palatial Moonlight II sounds even more blissful when we take into account the in-house chef who serves international gourmet dishes...
