There are places designed simply to be visited, and then there are places designed to be experienced slowly — spaces that invite people to wander, connect, and feel part of something larger. This summer, Nuanu Creative City will introduce exactly that through the opening of Nuanu Park, a new 1.6-hectare public park envisioned as the welcoming front door into Nuanu’s ever-evolving creative ecosystem.
Ahead of its official launch, Nuanu recently welcomed members of the media for an exclusive first look at the park, offering an intimate preview of a space designed not only for visitors but also for families, communities, creators, and curious explorers alike.
Set against the lush natural landscape of Bali, Nuanu Park is being developed as a public-facing gateway into the wider creative city — a place where art, education, recreation, culture, and nature naturally come together. More than a traditional park, it is imagined as a living social space where people can gather, learn, play, and return to again and again.
As journalists walked through the grounds during the preview, the vision behind Nuanu Park began to unfold through its many thoughtfully designed spaces. From the official public entrance and expansive open lawns to the amphitheatre, playground, Botanical Garden, Kids Academy, ropes course, and ziplining area, each corner of the park reflects a balance between exploration and connection. The experience continues through the vibrant Nuanu Art Village, connecting bridges, and surrounding communal spaces designed to encourage movement, discovery, and interaction.
One of the most memorable highlights of the preview was the unveiling of the official Nuanu Park Gate — envisioned not simply as an entrance but as a cultural landmark and symbolic threshold into the creative city itself.
Developed in collaboration with Balinese artists, architects, sculptors, cultural advisors, and local communities, the gate combines traditional Balinese craftsmanship with contemporary multimedia technology, including projection mapping and immersive media installations. Inspired by the symbolism of Athena and Saraswati, the structure represents knowledge, creativity, and the harmony between heritage and innovation. It reflects Nuanu’s ongoing dialogue between local identity and global perspectives, nature and technology, tradition and the future.
For Lev Kroll, the development of Nuanu Park represents something deeply important in the broader vision of Nuanu Creative City.
“Nuanu Park is an important step in opening Nuanu up to more people,” he shared. “As the ecosystem grows, we want the first experience of Nuanu to feel accessible and connected to daily life, not closed off or overly formal. It should give people a clear way to enter, spend time, and slowly understand what Nuanu is becoming.”
His words reflect the philosophy behind the project itself: creating a destination that feels alive, approachable, and woven into the rhythms of everyday life.
The media preview also offered a behind-the-scenes look into how the park will operate once officially open. Visitors can expect a dynamic calendar of public programming, including masterclasses, children’s activities, outdoor experiences, cultural activations, and community-led initiatives. Dog-friendly areas and open public spaces further reinforce the park’s welcoming atmosphere, ensuring there is room for everyone to feel included.
What makes Nuanu Park particularly unique is its intention to become more than a leisure destination. It is designed as a space where relationships are formed between people and place, creativity and community, and culture and curiosity. Whether families spend the afternoon exploring nature trails, children participate in educational workshops, or visitors simply pause beneath the trees to take in the surroundings, the experience is meant to feel personal and meaningful.
As Nuanu Creative City continues to grow, Nuanu Park is expected to play a central role in shaping how people first encounter the destination. It offers an open invitation into Nuanu’s larger world — one grounded in creativity, cultural exchange, sustainability, and shared human experiences.
This summer, when Nuanu Park officially opens its gates, visitors will not simply arrive at another public park. They will step into the beginning of a journey — one where nature, imagination, and community meet in a space designed to inspire connection from the very first moment.
