Rifyo, an authorized dealer for various lifestyle brands, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. The event was also a part of Jakarta Interior Design Festival (JIDF) 2022 that’s initiated by Jakarta Indonesian Society of Interior Designer (HDII DKI Jakarta). The event consisted of a talk show, “New Ways of Working”, followed by dinner.
The event took place at Rifyo’s stylish showroom in Kemang, Jakarta. Fify Manan, CEO and owner of Rifyo, opened the event with a welcome speech and shared the history of Rifyo. Followed by remarks from Awdhesh Verma, Area VP of MillerKnoll, and Rina Renville, chairwoman of HDII DKI Jakarta, and then the talk show started, moderated by Alex Say, Regional Sales Director SEA for Herman Miller.
The talk show featured workplace strategist and interior designers who shared their insights on the new ways working in response to the new normal. Tatiana Gomez, MilerKnoll’s workplace strategist for APMEA Region, shared that the recipe of productivity in a workplace cannot be copy-pasted from one office to another because it would depend on the office culture, the kind of work they do, etc. She also shared a survey result that says people with low social connection are 70% more likely to feel burnout than people with high social connection. This goes to show that even though many people are accustomed to working from home, an office or a meet-up with co-workers is still very much needed. However, there might be some things needed to adjust interior design-wise.
Next speakers were Yofianto Soetono, interior design director & owner of PTI Architects, and Prapanca Muchtar, the principal & owner of PT Prapanca Muchtar Design. The seasoned designers shared about their recent projects.
