Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, returns to IndoBuildTech Expo 2026, taking place from 8–12 July 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang. Under the theme “Comfortable Homes, Safe Electricity”, Schneider Electric invites visitors to explore how thoughtful design, functionality, and electrical safety can come together to create modern homes that are safer, more comfortable, more personal, and better suited to contemporary lifestyles.
Room. 533 Collaboration: When a Light Switch Becomes a Form of Personal Expression
This year, Schneider Electric is collaborating with Sifa Adni Qolby of Room.533, an illustrator and visual creator recognised for her distinctive works inspired by homes, living spaces, and everyday objects. Through the concept “The Art of Feeling at Home”, the collaboration presents an interactive booth experience alongside ten exclusive Room.533 designs created for AvatarOn, Schneider Electric’s premium range of customisable switches.
The collection invites visitors to see how even the smallest details within a home, such as a light switch, can contribute to a sense of comfort, emotional connection, and personal character.
Ahmad Saiful, BVP Home Solutions at Schneider Electric Indonesia, said:
“At IndoBuildTech Expo 2026, we want to demonstrate that modern homes should be designed holistically, encompassing comfort, aesthetics, and electrical safety. With more than 190 years of global expertise in electrical innovation and nearly 40 years of experience in developing switches and sockets, we continue to understand the evolving needs of homeowners, including those in Indonesia, which remains one of our key markets for switches and sockets.”
Sifa Adni Qolby, illustrator and visual creator behind Room.533, added:
“For me, a home has always felt deeply personal because it is shaped by the small objects that accompany our everyday lives. Every object can hold a story, a mood, or a memory. Through this collaboration, I wanted to bring that sense of warmth and familiarity into a visual experience with Schneider Electric, including through the AvatarOn switch. If furniture, lighting, and decorative pieces can reflect a person’s character, then a wall switch can also become part of that expression, helping a space feel more vibrant and uniquely personal.”
AvatarOn: Personalised Design, Reliable Performance, and Proven Quality
AvatarOn is Schneider Electric’s premium switch collection and recipient of the prestigious iF Design Award 2017. The range features customisable covers that can be personalised with colours, patterns, photographs, or bespoke designs through a printing process. Its interchangeable cover system also allows homeowners to easily update the appearance of their switches as their interior design evolves.
Available in four premium finishes—White, Dark Grey, Wine Gold, and Dark Wood—AvatarOn is equipped with UV-resistant protection to help maintain its appearance over time.
Designed with both functionality and reliability in mind, AvatarOn incorporates an LED indicator that makes switches easier to locate in low-light conditions. It also features Schneider Electric’s SS Mechanism Switch technology, requiring only a three-degree switch angle to deliver a softer click while helping to reduce the risk of electrical arcing.
With a current capacity of 16 amperes (AX)—higher than the 10AX capacity commonly found in many switches across the Indonesian market—AvatarOn is better equipped to support the demands of modern electrical appliances safely and reliably.
The range is manufactured from durable polycarbonate material that is impact-resistant, heat-resistant, non-flammable, tested with glow-wire resistance up to 850°C, and corrosion-resistant. AvatarOn also complies with Indonesian National Standards (SNI), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) requirements, and other recognised international standards.
Beyond switches, the AvatarOn ecosystem includes a comprehensive range of solutions for contemporary homes, including power sockets, USB chargers, dimmers, TV and data sockets, and communication outlets.
Promoting Electrical Safety: From Genuine Products to Professional Competency Development
Electrical safety remains one of Schneider Electric’s key priorities at IndoBuildTech Expo 2026. Through its Safe Electricity Movement initiative, the company highlights the importance of electrical protection devices such as its Domae product range, including Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) to protect households against overloads and short circuits, Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) or Earth Leakage Protection Devices to safeguard against electric shock caused by leakage currents, and RCBOs, which combine both protection functions in a single device.
Schneider Electric is also encouraging consumers to understand the importance of choosing genuine, high-quality electrical products through its #TheOriginalThatProtects campaign.
This commitment to electrical safety is further strengthened by the launch of the Schneider Electric Electrician Academy, a national competency development programme designed for electricians, retailers, and electrical sales professionals.
To support the programme, Schneider Electric is partnering with PT Dana Purna Investama (DPI), a company specialising in building facility management services, as a participant recruitment and training partner.
The academy provides access to digital learning resources focused on safe, high-quality, and standards-compliant electrical installation practices, while also introducing participants to the latest developments in electrical technology.
Running from July to December 2026, the programme includes structured learning modules, monthly webinars, quizzes, and progress monitoring, with a target of reaching up to 8,000 participants. The initiative aims to strengthen professionalism across Indonesia’s electrical ecosystem while offering participants opportunities to receive funding for official competency certifications and other recognition programmes.
Ahmad Saiful said:
“The Schneider Electric Electrician Academy is part of our commitment to fostering greater awareness and a stronger culture of electrical safety in Indonesia. We believe that safe electrical installations depend not only on the quality of products but also on the competence of the professionals and industry stakeholders who interact directly with the public.”
Yosua Pengayoman, Chief Training Officer at PT Dana Purna Investama, added:
“We warmly welcome the launch of the Schneider Electric Electrician Academy as an initiative that will help enhance the competencies of electrical professionals in Indonesia. The programme is highly relevant to industry needs, particularly in supporting safer, more reliable, and standards-compliant installation practices. We hope this collaboration will continue to strengthen the culture of electrical safety across Indonesia while creating opportunities for even more electricians to participate and further develop their professional skills.”
