Thamrin Nine is proud to announce the official awarding by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) to its architectural icon, Autograph Tower, as the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and the owner of the world's tallest outdoor swimming pool. This extraordinary achievement was celebrated at an inauguration event on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, held jointly with CTBUH, as a celebration of the engineering and architectural achievements of this development.
Rising to 382.9 meters, the Autograph Tower is now officially the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, surpassing the previous record holder, Q1 Tower in Australia. Additionally, the outdoor swimming pool, located 326.3 meters above ground, has made the Autograph Tower the building with the highest outdoor swimming pool in the world.
Autograph Tower is not only an achievement in the field of construction but also a symbol of bringing Jakarta to the world stage through bold innovation and a world-class city experience.
As an iconic superblock area in downtown Jakarta, Thamrin Nine presents a new standard in integrated housing and urban lifestyle. This project includes two Grade-A office towers (Autograph Tower and Luminary Tower), the luxury residence Le Parc, the Agora retail and culinary area, as well as five-star hotels such as Pan Pacific Jakarta and PARKROYAL Hotel & Serviced Suites Jakarta. Thamrin Nine is also home to the highest observatory in Indonesia, UP at Thamrin Nine, which offers an extraordinary visual experience from above. This inauguration event aims to celebrate Indonesia's presence in the global architectural landscape, involving various stakeholders and media, as well as strengthening Thamrin Nine's position as a symbol of urban development progress and modern luxury.
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) is the leading international authority in the field of skyscrapers and sustainable urban design. CTBUH signage usually indicates that a building has been recognised for the excellence of its design or construction, as well as its contribution to the development of vertical urbanisation. Autograph Tower's sign will be installed in the main lobby of the building and will indicate that the building is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and the owner of the world's tallest outdoor swimming pool.
Recognition from CTBUH also puts Jakarta on the global architectural radar, strengthening the city's appeal as an investment, business, and tourism destination. As the centrepiece of the Thamrin Nine complex, the Autograph Tower in the heart of the capital is a marker of Indonesia's rapid progress in the world-class property industry—not only an engineering achievement but also a symbol of Indonesia's ambition to become a leader in high-performance, people-centered urban environments. Through this historic moment, Thamrin Nine not only proves Indonesia's capacity to deliver supertall buildings but also paves the way for the birth of more iconic projects that can have a positive impact on society, the environment, and the future of Indonesian cities.
