Jakarta’s fine dining scene reaches new heights as The Crown by Kirk Westaway officially opens its doors. Located on the 22nd floor of the Fairmont Jakarta, this refined new restaurant introduces a unique expression of modern British cuisine by the acclaimed two Michelin-starred chef, Kirk Westaway.
Renowned for his elegant approach to reimagining British cuisine, Chef Westaway brings to Jakarta the same culinary philosophy that has made his Singapore flagship, JAAN by Kirk Westaway, an internationally lauded destination: ingredient-led, seasonal, and thoughtfully composed with clean, natural flavours.
“With The Crown, I wanted to introduce something that feels both familiar and fresh—British cuisine is rooted in heritage, yet reinterpreted through a contemporary lens,” shares Chef Westaway. “Jakarta is ready for something new, and we’re excited to be part of this evolution.”
Guests can look forward to an evolving degustation menu that highlights premium ingredients, highlighting flavour, texture, and seasonality at the forefront. Dishes are designed to surprise and delight, including delicately composed plates such as Scallop with asparagus, peas, and pancetta; the deeply comforting Wagyu Striploin with celeriac and reform sauce; and a refined take on the beloved Strawberry Eton Mess, reimagined with lime, yoghurt, and vanilla.
The restaurant’s atmosphere mirrors its culinary direction—sophisticated and warm. Nestled high above the city, The Crown features sweeping sunset views over the Senayan golf course, creating a setting as memorable as the food itself. Every detail, from the gracious arrival experience to the final sweet note of the evening, aims to elevate and inspire. Its opening day was marked by an intimate ribbon-cutting ceremony and a celebratory champagne toast, welcoming invited guests, media, and partners to this new jewel in Jakarta’s dining scene.
