For this year’s luxury issue I tried to find different types of luxury hotels that are not only well designed but also distinctive. I went on a long journey starting from the outskirts of Rajasthan, India, to the charming city of Colombo, Sri Lanka, then all the way north to Amsterdam – just to find these uniquely luxurious hotels.
