There is something universally evocative about a ribbon. It marks milestones, wraps cherished gifts, and symbolises promises waiting to unfold. For its latest MONDIAL Dreams collection, MONDIAL transforms this familiar motif into an elegant expression of aspiration, inviting wearers to celebrate not only life's achievements but also the journey towards them.
Continuing its long-standing dialogue between high jewellery and contemporary art, the luxury jeweller has partnered with Indonesian contemporary artist Mangmoel for this year's edition of MONDIAL Dreams. Entitled Weave Your Dreams, the collaboration explores the idea that every dream is carefully shaped over time—woven together through courage, perseverance, and unwavering belief.
Best known internationally for his monumental crochet installations and the iconic Mogus character, Mangmoel brings his distinctive artistic language to an immersive installation at MONDIAL Plaza Indonesia. His signature coral-inspired textile forms intertwine with the collection's ribbon silhouette, creating a visual narrative that blurs the boundaries between contemporary art and fine jewellery. The collaboration also extends beyond the gallery space through exclusive collectible pieces designed for owners of the new collection.
Leslie Christian Saputra, General Manager of MONDIAL and a GIA Graduate Gemologist, said:
"One of MONDIAL's signature collections, MONDIAL Dreams, returns this year with a design language that celebrates the graceful beauty of the ribbon, expressed across necklaces, rings, earrings, and bangles. Every series within the collection is united by the same narrative: a dream is first bound by belief, sustained through commitment, and ultimately realised. We see the ribbon-inspired diamond designs as a powerful universal symbol for dreamers everywhere. Across cultures, the ribbon has long represented life's most meaningful celebrations and moments of anticipation—from crossing the finish line to adding a touch of beauty to life's special occasions."
The collection itself comprises twelve diamond jewellery creations across five elegant series—Lumièretie, Flowtie, Liaisontie, Aératie, and Éloratie—featuring necklaces, rings, earrings, bangles, and pendants. Gracefully sculpted to echo the flowing movement of ribbons, each design captures a sense of lightness while embodying hope, celebration, and personal triumph.
Mangmoel, the contemporary artist and collaborator behind this year's MONDIAL Dreams campaign, shared:
"The concept of MONDIAL Dreams as an iconic symbol immediately inspired me to collaborate, as it tells the story of how different experiences, journeys, and dreams can become intertwined into a lifelong bond. I see the ribbon as the perfect physical expression of that connection—a form that beautifully represents the ties between our aspirations while serving as a universal symbol for dreamers everywhere. The distinctive character of MONDIAL's diamond jewellery—prestigious, bold, and unmistakably unique provides a powerful medium through which those dreams can be expressed visually."
Equally compelling is the story behind the installation. Working alongside Konco Mogus, a collective of Indonesian women artisans, Mangmoel transforms overlooked materials into intricate woven artworks that celebrate craftsmanship, sustainability, and community. The collaboration becomes more than an artistic statement—it is a tribute to the patience, dedication, and human touch that underpin both contemporary art and exceptional jewellery-making.
With MONDIAL Dreams, jewellery is presented as more than an object of beauty. It becomes a symbol of ambition, resilience, and self-expression—a reminder that every meaningful achievement begins, much like every woven thread, with a single step towards a dream.
