Towering at almost 383 metres, Jakarta’s new Autograph Tower is the tallest building not only in Indonesia but also in the Southern Hemisphere. As the jewel of the city, this tower attracts companies looking to establish or relocate their offices. One of these companies occupies a stunning three-story office with a modern contemporary design that is sure to impress. Indonesia Design had the privilege of visiting this remarkable space and interviewing its interior designer, Alex Bayusaputro, a renowned design consultant.

Located on three high floors of the new building, visitors must take one of the high-speed elevators to reach the reception area of ATABA. For many, the experience begins in the lobby, where gentle and diffuse lighting from the ceiling membrane creates a welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, the warm and inviting ambiance immediately embraces guests.
The office design reflects the company’s values and culture, featuring a modern, sophisticated, and powerful workspace. Natural light and open areas create a sense of transparency, whilst high- end finishes and furnishings provide a touch of luxury and finesse. The office also offers amenities that promote employee productivity, wellness, and satisfaction, beginning in the reception lounge, where guests are first welcomed.
The Reception Lounge
The reception area is a well-designed space that is both welcoming and professional. A large LED screen immediately catches the eye, with captivating graphics that visually represent the company’s products and operations. Strategically positioned at the mid-level (Level 75) entrance of the building, the reception area allows easy access to the floors above (Level 76) and below (Level 73).
The ambiance is carefully crafted to be both relaxed and professional. The lounge and pantry offer a comfortable space for guests to wait, with plush sofas and coffee tables creating an inviting atmosphere for casual discussions or networking. The overall effect is a space that is welcoming and comfortable yet still professional and sophisticated.
The Void
Upon entering the office, guests are greeted by an impressive architectural feature: a three-story void connected by a sculptural gunmetal spiral staircase. This staircase serves as a focal point, symbolising the company’s commitment to innovation and creativity. The void is designed to promote connectivity and collaboration between different floors.
Level 75
Level 75 houses a dedicated common meeting quarter. Twelve meeting rooms are available, ranging from smaller rooms for six people to larger ones accommodating up to twenty individuals. An irregular cantilever structure creates an intriguing form, adding architectural interest to the meeting quarter.
Each meeting room is equipped with state-of-the- art conference technology, ensuring seamless communication and efficient collaboration. The round-shaped tinted glass walls of the meeting rooms offer privacy whilst maintaining a sense of openness, providing a touch of sophistication and modernity.
Level 73
Level 73 accommodates various departments in an open space layout designed to foster collaboration and teamwork. Workstations and desks are arranged to encourage interaction and communication among employees.
A dedicated breakout area on this level offers a casual setting for staff to interact, hold informal meetings, or take breaks. Comfortable seating, including lounge chairs, sofas, and communal tables, creates an inviting atmosphere for relaxation and spontaneous discussions. This space is designed to inspire creativity, encourage socialisation, and rejuvenate employees throughout the workday.
Level 76
Level 76 is a serene and exclusive area dedicated to the company’s C-level executives and partners. This floor is designed to provide tranquillity and privacy, reflecting its importance for high-level decision-making and strategic discussions. The rooms are strategically designed as cantilevered structures, adding a distinctive element to the overall design and providing an unobstructed view of the floors below The centrepiece of Level 76 is a spacious and impressive boardroom. The boardroom features membrane ceiling lighting, adding depth, dimension, and sophistication to the space. This unique design enhances the room’s acoustics, ensuring clear and focused communication during important meetings.
Adjacent to the boardroom, a partner breakout area is available. This private space is designed for top management and partners to hold informal discussions, meet VIP guests, or simply take a break from their busy schedules. Comfortable seating arrangements, including plush sofas and armchairs, create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.
