What makes this project unique?
We have undertaken numerous sustainable architecture projects, and Central Market PIK is one of our latest, having opened just last year. It stands out as one of the first retail projects in Jakarta to incorporate open-air ventilation. This design approach not only enhances the shopping experience but also significantly reduces energy consumption.
What are the challenges in designing Central Market PIK?
Located at the heart of Golf Island PIK, Central Market PIK is poised to become a new landmark. The challenge was its height relative to the size of the roundabout, prompting us to design a higher, enriched façade. Facing west, we had to create a secondary skin to reduce indoor temperatures.
