Amanaia Satrio is more than a restaurant. It is a sanctuary where tranquillity and festivity coexist. Amidst Jakarta’s bustling energy, this culinary haven blends nature, architecture and gastronomy to create an experience that delights the senses and soothes the soul.

Reception area with rich combination of shapes and textures

Stepping into Amanaia Satrio is like crossing into a different world. The contrast to the surrounding high rises is striking. The laid-back ambiance boasts the design that blends warm wooden textures, stone accents, and tranquil water features
to create a tropical sanctuary. Built over a vast pond, the restaurant appears to float to reinforce its peaceful allure. Small islands adorned with lush greenery and carefully placed stone arrangements enhance the natural aesthetic. This make you feel as if you’ve been transported to an intimate resort.

A Name that Flows Like Water

“Amanaia” is more than a name. It’s a philosophy that harmonises serenity with festivity. Inspired by words that evoke peace and fluidity, it represents a sanctuary within Jakarta’s vibrant energy. This essence is woven into every detail, from the lakeside setting to the fusion of traditional and modern design.

Greenery planted on the roof adds a cool atmosphere

Wooden walkways stretch over the water, leading to intimate pavilions that offer a retreat from the city’s pulse. Soft and spherical lanterns cast a warm glow to enhance the inviting ambiance. Here, dining is more than a meal. It is an immersive experience where calm and joy coexist, leaving a lasting impression beyond the final bite.

Interiors that Embrace Nature

The sense of nature continues inside. Rich wooden tones and earthy stone walls create a warm and inviting atmosphere, whilst floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space in natural light, offering panoramic views of the tranquil water. Whether you choose to dine indoors or in the semi-outdoor seating areas, you remain immersed in an atmosphere of relaxation.

Lighting plays a key role in shaping the mood. Pendant lamps and indirect lighting create a soft and golden glow that complements the organic textures of the space. Indoor plants and handcrafted wooden carvings further enhance the natural aesthetic. Every detail has been sophisticatedly curated to ensure that your time at Amanaia feels like a retreat from the city’s frenetic energy.

“Amanaia Satrio was designed to be a sanctuary within the urban sprawl,” says Piter Gan, founder of Piter Gan Architect. “We wanted to create a space where nature and architecture blend harmoniously, allowing guests to have a serene yet vibrant dining experience.”

A Culinary Experience Rooted in Tradition

Beyond its stunning architecture, Amanaia Satrio is all about the dining experience. Rooted in the legacy of Talaga Sampireun, renowned for its exceptional Sundanese cuisine, the restaurant elevates tradition with a refined touch. Each dish is crafted to enhance the sensory pleasure of dining in a setting that feels far removed from Jakarta’s urban chaos.

The scrumptious menus from across the archipelago

“We stay true to traditional recipes, spices, and ingredients, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation. At the same time, we use modern equipment and processing methods to maintain consistency and quality across all locations. Refinement isn’t about making things fancy. It’s about elevating Indonesian cuisine whilst preserving its soul, blending tradition with innovation,”Kalvin Lie, managing director of Amanaia, asserts.

The experience goes beyond just the flavours. Guests can enjoy their meals in lakeside huts, where they can feed the free-roaming fish in the pond. It’s a simple yet delightful touch that reinforces the brand’s commitment to a nature-centric experience. There’s a dedicated kids’ playground ensures younger guests stay entertained, making Amanaia a preferred choice for family gatherings.

“The exterior and interior designs are focused on creating an environment that engages all the senses,” Piter adds. “The sound of flowing water, the natural textures, and the interplay of light and shadow come together to craft an experience that is as visually stunning as it is calming.”

A Venue for Memorable Occasions

With a seating capacity of up to 475 guests, Amanaia Satrio is a venue designed for unforgettable moments. Whether you’re planning a corporate event, a wedding, a birthday, or an intimate gathering, the space sophisticatedly adapts to your needs. Its thoughtful layout allows for both large-scale celebrations as well as private and intimate moments, ensuring that every occasion feels exclusive and special.

The Private Dining Room

“The goal was to design a space that adapts to different experiences,” Piter explains. “Whether it’s a quiet dinner, a lively family gathering, or a grand celebration, the restaurant facilitates a setting that enhances every moment.”

A New Standard in the City’s Dining Scene

As Amanaia expands, maintaining its signature experience is paramount. “With five more units in the pipeline and 13 operational by 2027, consistency is our to priority,” Kalvin shares.

“We achieve this through strict quality control, a central kitchen, technology, training, and strong operational systems. However, consistency isn’t just about systems. It’s about people. We invest in our chefs, service teams, and managers because they are the heart of Amanaia. At the same time, we leverage technology to streamline operations so as to preserve authenticity and high standards,” he says.

All in all, Amanaia Satrio offers a rare alternative. It’s a place where you can slow down, indulge in exquisite cuisine, and reconnect with nature. With its blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary elegance, it sets a new benchmark for experiential dining in Jakarta.

As the brand continues to grow, one thing remains certain: Amanaia is more than just a restaurant. It is a sanctuary where aesthetic design, natural beauty, and culinary enjoyment come together in perfect harmony.

With this vision, Amanaia is set to expand its presence across Indonesia, bringing its signature tranquil dining experience to new destinations. In the coming years, food lovers can look forward to the opening of Amanaia Alam Sutera and Amanaia Green Terrace Taman Mini in 2025, followed by Amanaia Kota Harapan Indah and Amanaia BSC City in 2026, and Amanaia Podomoro Park Bandung in 2027. Each new location will carry the same spirit of elegance and serenity, reinforcing Amanaia’s commitment to offering a unique escape within the city’s dynamic landscape.
